About The Role: Our Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs the equipment and tools that help feed the world.
Responsibilities:
Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of production machinery rotating equipment electrical equipment transport systems buildings and facilities
Perform repair and maintenance work on a variety of equipment including mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical
Follow diagrams P&IDs sketches operations manuals manufacturers instructions and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions
Collaborate with production staff supervisors and outside contractors service technicians and engineers to ensure minimal production downtime
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
Must have a strong mechanical background with experience in an industrialized manufacturing environment
Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is an asset
Thorough working knowledge of pumps electric and pneumatic valves piping hydraulics PLC motors and drives
Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently
Strong organizational skills
Excellent analytical/diagnostic/problem solving skills
Strong communication skills.
Expectation from the Role:
Fulltime Permanent; Overtime as required
2 shifts available: FridayMonday 6:00am to 4:30pm OR Monday Friday 11:00pm 7:30am This shift starts on Monday night at 11:00pm
Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights and lift equipment as necessary
Physical Work Conditions: Often exposed to the elements loud sounds distracting noise levels and dusty environment.
Able to follow strict safety procedures as well ensure that coworkers are following safety policies during maintenance procedures
Must work within established HACCP procedures
