Job Description
Scopely is seeking a VFX Artist to join the Yahtzee team in Barcelona on a hybrid schedule working three days a week from our hub.

Yahtzee with buddies is one of our casual freetoplay mobile games and is a classic board game with a new look. The team is based in Europe and the US and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.
What You Will Do
In this role youll create dynamic and engaging visual effectsfrom celebratory animations and powerups to microinteractions and transitionsthat elevate the games visual appeal and player experience. Youll collaborate closely with crossfunctional pods UI/UX and the broader Art team and report directly to our inhouse VFX Lead.
- Design effects that enhance gameplay LiveOps content UI animations and player feedback.
- Bring fresh creative ideas while maintaining consistency with the games visual identity.
- Deliver highquality assets on time to support production timelines.
- Work collaboratively with artists and engineers to ensure seamless integration.
- Document specifications for special effects and contribute to the ongoing review of ingame visuals.
- Optimize effects for mobile platforms with performance and memory efficiency in mind.
What Were Looking For
- A background in Design Fine Arts or equivalent professional experience.
- 24 years of relevant experience with a portfolio showcasing realtime visual effects.
- Experience contributing to live game projects and a clear understanding of pipelines scope and dependencies.
- Ability to merge artistic creativity with technical limitations to deliver performant assets.
- Comfort with collaborative feedbackrich environments and iteration.
- Selfdriven organized and detailoriented approach to work.
- Familiarity with Unitys VFX tools and ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive teamfirst mindset.
- Ability to create visuals that meet technical requirements across a range of devices
