Job Description
Iowa City Community School District
Title:
Summer Tech Temp.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladder.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and able to take direction.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to:
Client Services Manager
Job Goal:
Assist the Office of Technology and Innovation staff to enhance student learning promote the overall efficiency of the school systems and maximize the educational opportunities available to each student.
Performance Responsibilities
- Unbox tag inventory and prepare student and staff devices and peripherals for deployment
- Assist with the largescale distribution and collection of student and staff devices
- Verify update and record technology equipment locations in inventory systems
- Prepare outdated or damaged equipment for recycling or disposal
- Physically clean and maintain classroom technology equipment
- Review update and organize departmental documentation including howto guides vendor contracts Memorandums of Understanding and Student Data Privacy Agreements
- Communicate with vendors via email to acquire necessary documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Terms of Employment
- Temporary summer position. The start and end dates of the position are to be determined by the district with the majority of work taking place May August.
- Starting rate of $15/hour
- 40 hours per week
- Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers License
