Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $25.00 hourly NonExempt (Eligible for overtime)
- Varies (either 4 or 6 hours in total depending on the camp schedule) hours per week
- 100 Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
This is a parttime nonbenefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering a structured program of adapted physical activities for children aged 8 to 12 including those with physical or developmental disabilities such as Autism and Down syndrome
- Activities include pickleball catching throwing and other fundamental movements
- Setup and prepare equipment for activities.
- Participate in training sessions to prepare for the program implementation.
Required Competencies
- Ability to work with children including those with special needs.
- Skills in organizing and implementing structured physical activities.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at UND during the summer and fall of 2025.
- Ability to participate in the summer program consistency.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in special education early childhood education adapted physical activity and motor development.
- Eagerness to learn motor development assessment physical activity measures (using accelerometers) and program design & implementation.
- Previous experience in these areas is not required but is beneficial.
