The Role

McKessons People Analytics team delivers better people and business outcomes through data leading to actionable insights. As a member of the People Analytics Team the Sr. People Analytics Consultant will deliver people analytics and insights to PSAS (Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services) McKessons largest Business Unit. This Business Unit is comprised of core distribution oncology operations and various specialty business a unique opportunity to make an impact!

Through close partnerships with HR Business Leaders Strategy Finance and other key stakeholders the Sr. People Analytics Consultant will gain a sound understanding of business objectives and use consulting skills to provide and interpret insights from workforce data. The Sr. People Analytics Consultant will directly support PSASs HR and Business Leaders. This role requires an individual who is passionate about using data to drive business results has a curious mind and strong analytical and consulting skills.

Starting Pay is between $140000 to $145000 based on skills and qualifications for this role in the Irving Texas area

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain strong understanding of business goals and use analytical skills to make datadriven workforce strategy recommendations to support business objectives

  • Partner closely with the PA team HR Finance and Business Leaders to provide strategic decision support through data and analytics

  • Rapidly perform exploratory data analysis generate and test working hypotheses and uncover trends and relationships

  • Communicate results of analysis to other analysts HRBPs and leaders throughout the organization. Help tell stories with data and make recommendations by interpreting the so what and now what from analysis.

  • Consult with clients and seek to understand the root of the clients challenge for which data and analytics can be leveraged

  • Generate repeatable and scalable solutions across PSAS to enable quicker and more actionable insights while creating nuanced solutions where appropriate.

  • Lead broader consulting engagements diving deeper into people analytic forecasting trends

  • Identify opportunities to bring advanced analytics to consulting opportunities for deeper engagements and more impactful actions for HRBPs and Business Leaders

  • Partner with COEs and Workforce Planning to create measure and impact talent strategies with key and forward looking people data

  • Leverage external market data and integrate into forward looking action plans to guide leaders in addressing their workforce plans budgets and strategic goals

  • Partner closely with HRBPs to incorporate a data insight lens into broader organizational planning initiatives and consult with other areas of HR enabling the talent pipeline

  • Validate HR data integrity in collaboration with PA and the HR Operations teams

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 7 years of relevant experience.

  • 3 years demonstrated experience in an analytics related role in Business Intelligence Strategic Planning HR and/or business administration

  • Experience working in multiple areas within the HR Function and/or healthcare setting is preferred

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Highly proficient with Analytic Programs experience with data warehouse tools such as databricks Visier SQL PBI and/or Tableau is preferred

  • Experience with distribution/warehouse/shop floor analytics experience a plus

  • Experience with data analysis and statistics (descriptives inferential visualizations)

  • Interactions with leadership teams and senior leaders

Education Required:

  • 4year degree in Business Finance Mathematics HR or related field or equivalent experience; Masters degree in Business Administration Analytics I/O Psychology a plus
