Job Description

Bus Acquisitions Manager with Complete Coach Works

Location: Riverside CA

Salary:$80k$90k/year Monday to Friday

Essential Responsibilities

The Bus Acquisitions Manager under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the procurement of transit vehicles that are purchased in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work with management to identify current inventory needs
  • Manages list of desired vehicles the company wants to purchase
  • Maintains fleet inventory log; ensures information is current and up to date
  • Utilizes all available resources to identify and engage vendors of transit vehicles
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors to better meet bidding and acquisition requirements
  • Maintains and updates vendor database
  • Obtain and provide all necessary documentation for purchases
  • Maintains accurate bus inventory/integration logs auction paperwork etc
  • Conduct accurate vehicle assessments by collecting and recording all required information for appraisal
  • Inspect and accept vehicles for purchase; add to inventory
  • Additional crossfunctional duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to travel
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience
  • Related training or experience as QC Inspector or equivalent with heavy trucks or buses
  • Understanding of the procurement life cycle from sourcing through vendor management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel etc)
  • Requires good judgment in prioritizing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be able to:

  • Carry pull and push up to 25 pounds of dead weight
  • Climb up and down a ladder
  • Sit stand stoop kneel squat crouch and or crawl
  • Twist or turn in confined spaces
