Green River College is seeking candidates for a fulltime tenuretrack position in professional writing beginning in the fall of 2025. This position will primarily teachENGL&235: Introduction to Technical Communication andENGL 335: Advanced Technical Communication with the possibility of teachingENGL 109: Writing for Trades and Career/Technical Degrees and other courses depending on college and student needs. The successful candidate will have the option to teach and participate in job duties remotely/virtually for the first quarter (through December 2025. The candidate is expected to maintain some campus presence in teaching and service starting in January 2026.
ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
Green River College has four locations including the main campus in Auburn with satellite learning centers in Kent downtown Auburn and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college) those seeking retraining for the workforce international students students learning English as a second language and Continuing Education students. Green Rivers service areas are increasingly ethnically diverse comprising African Americans African immigrants Asian Americans Asians Latinx people Native Americans Pacific Islanders and Middle Eastern Americans among other communities.

This position is part of a bargaining unit subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
