Position Summary
TheCatering Sales Assistantprovides support and assistance to the Catering Sales Manager and Catering Manager coordinatingcatering sales and event planning efforts. The job involves initiating and developing quality leads to ensure the growth of catering sales.
The primary responsibility of a catering sales assistant is to assist the Catering Sales Manager and Catering Manager in developing existing business and catering sales important duties include assisting in booking selling planning and coordinating all catered events while assuring the highest level of customer service. Generating revenue establishing new accounts monitoring catering details keeping quality consistently high and conducting catering sales presentations and calls also fall under the purview of a catering sales assistant job.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $20 to $24 and is eligible for tips/gratuity when assisting during catering/banquet events.

Responsibilities
- Assisting with menu and event planning
- Participatingin client and internal staff meetings
- Discussing contract terms with clients
- Basic accounting and payment handling
- Creating event food and beverage signage
- Answering emails and phone calls in the Catering Sales Managers absence
- Attending contracted events and assisting withevent
Qualifications
- Associates degree (A.A. or equivalent from a twoyear College or technical school; or six months to oneyear related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference is given to those with catered events experience.
- Basic computer proficiency: Gmail Excel Word Outlook
- Ability to work a variable schedule (including evenings and weekends as required) depending on the event and business requirements.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask Organizational and Problemsolving skills.
