ASSET EQUIPMENT MANAGER
Landmark Solutions Ltd. (Landmark) has an immediate opening for an experienced Asset Equipment Manager to join our team. the Asset Equipment Manager will be responsible for the maintenance planning of our fleet of heavy equipment and light duty vehicles. This position is instrumental in ensuring all company equipment and vehicle assets are procured maintained and functioning in support of our companys continued success.
This is a fulltime yearround position based out of our Salmon Arm location.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
This position is an integral part of the Landmark team. The Asset Equipment Manager while working with safety as a top priority will manage the maintenance system maintenance budget and assist in procurement of new/replaced vehicles and heavy equipment. This position will oversee the maintenance yard activities create and maintain a preferred vendors list manage the lifecycle management program that keeps the Landmark fleet operating and functioning at full capacity. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program that suits the companys heavy equipment and light vehicle fleet requirements.
- Creating priorities for the maintenance team and follow up on compliance of repairs.
- Work closely with the construction department to maximize heavy equipment utilization and minimize down time due to break downs.
- Leads the development and implementation of companys long term equipment asset management plan including the development of 5year capital mobile equipment plan.
- Analyze key maintenance department areas of improvement to develop and implement a structured and sustainable maintenance improvement plan that meets Landmarks needs.
- Design implement and manage a conditionbased monitoring (predictive maintenance) program.
- Ability to identify best practices within the industry and a proven ability to apply across all Landmarks divisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior management to maintain a high level of feedback and recommendations in providing a reliable equipment fleet that meets Landmarks equipment needs.
- Provide short term equipment solutions and coordination for the Landmark assets rental vs purchase options.
- Lead daily toolbox meetings with mechanics and yard staff.
- Create priority list for repairs and maintenance daily weekly and monthly.
- Review and approve all incoming invoices related to mechanical shop.
- Create work orders through Site Docs from pretrip inspections completed by field staffconstruction team.
- Maintain and create strong customer relationship with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
- May work remotely in adverse weather conditions.
- Job tasks may be physically demanding lifting up to 50 lbs.
SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
The successful candidate will be a proven leader with the ability to engage coach lead and drive performance across your group and other support groups through indirect influence. Other requirements include:
- You must have a strong safety mindset with a focus on results.
- A heavy equipment mechanic red seal is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of heavy equipment mechanical experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance manager or in a similar position is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and lead a diverse maintenance staff.
- A track record of successfully implementing and maintaining maintenance programs is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills are critical and you must be able to work with minimal direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Some travel to remote sites may be required.
- Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License with clean driving record and the confidence to drive safely in a variety of road conditions. Class 3 with Air is an asset.
