Job Description
We are currently taking resumes/applications for anEXPERIENCEDElectriciansfortheNew Iberia LAand surroundingarea. Duties/Responsibilitiesmay/may not be limited tothe following:

- Job Scope:
- InstallingAC shore power installing lighting etc.
- Required Skills:
- Knowledge of electrical systems hand tools and industrial equipment.
- Awareness of national state and local electrical codes and regulations.
- Motivated selfstarter who can manage projects and make decisions.
- Ability to read schematics blueprints and other technical documents.
- Requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.
- Must also be able to understand and make decisions based on technical documents such as blueprints schematics or instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and enhance electrical systems and components including fuses lights and wiring
- Installs conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws using hand tools and threads wires through conduit to terminals for example connection boxes circuit breakers voltage regulators and switch panels.
- Strips insulation from wire ends and solders ends to terminals using stripping pliers and soldering iron. Connects powersupply circuits to radio radar sonar fire control and other electronic equipment.
- Tests electrical characteristics for example voltage resistance and phase angle in circuits using voltmeters ohmmeters and phase rotation indicators.
- May also construct instrument panels using hand tools rulers dividers and power drills following specifications.
- Troubleshoots electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and effect required maintenance repairs or replacement requirements.
- Performs maintenance and repair of generators switchboards controllers circuit breakers electrical motors distribution panels alarm and lighting circuits.
- Conducts insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effects repairs or replacements as required.
- Supervises and participates in the installation and/or alteration to electrical systems aboard ships.
- Maintains adequate inventories of electrical spare parts and requisitions replacements as required.
- Maintains electrical system maintenance histories notating date and extent of repairs and/or alterations.
- Perform tasks maintaining all health safety and environmental rules and ensure all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment
- Implement health and safety standards when carrying out job operations to ensure public and environmental safety
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working at differentheights
- Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
- Must be able to stand bend stoop squat or kneel regularly as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks
- Documents Required:
- Drivers License/Identification
- Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
- Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Practicesafety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
- MUSTbe able to provide own basic hand tools
- MUSTbe able to provide PPE (Hard hat steel toes safety glasses & gloves)
- MUSTbe able to pass drug screen and physical.
- MUSThave reliable transportation.

- Pay Schedule: Monday Sunday
- Schedule:
- Monday Friday (Weekends as needed)
- 8 10 Hour Days
- Monday Friday (Weekends as needed)
- Duration of Job:Approximately 3 4 months(Could lead to fulltime position based on job performance)
