This exciting Food Scientist position is dedicated to our new and growing appetiser range! In this role you will leadproduct developmentactivities for the category to deliver projects from conception to commercial production.

• Project manage right first time end to end product and packaging delivery and ongoing quality standards.
• Navigate numerous stakeholders internally and externally calling on your strong influencing skills to deliver outcomes.
• Work with marketing insights & sensory UX team to leverage consumers insights and deliver products that meet brand values.
• Present innovation concepts to key customers ensuring products are fit for purpose and meet the customers needs.
• Monitor business and food industry trends sharing relevant insights with project teams to guide consumerfocused product development
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement bringing outsidein thinking into proactive product development that accelerates ANZ innovation pipeline development.
• Build relationships with your stakeholders in R&D (both locally and overseas) McCain and externally.

About the team.

• This role reports to the R&D Manager and can be based in either Melbourne or Ballarat with frequent travel between the two locations.

About you.

• Bachelors or Masters Degree inFood Scienceor other related Science disciplines.
• 2 5 years of technical and professionalresearch & developmentexperience in consumer goods preferably in food.
• General knowledge ofmanufacturingprocessesand experience of working in this environment.
• Deep knowledge offood safetyandHACCPprocesses.
• Experience with relevant Acts/ Legal Requirements and Standards ( ManufacturingStandardsFSANZ) and incorporating intoproduct design.
• Curious about trends ingredients andnew food product introductionswith the ability to interpretconsumer researchdata and apply toproduct development
• Exceptional planning andorganising skills paired with effective interpersonal skills
• Strong communication and influencing skills with an ability to foster good stakeholder relations.
