Homewood Ravensview is a private 75bed mental health trauma and addiction facility offering evidencebased medicallyled inpatient services for first responders military veterans executives & professionals adults and young adults. Located in North Saanich on 28 acres of forested hillside Homewood Ravensview offers clients a comfortable and safe environment featuring serene ocean views from spacious rooms welcoming common areas and a worldclass team of physicians psychiatrists counsellors and 24hour nursing professionals.

As a Unit Clerk you will be an integral part of a collaborative culturallycompetent team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

What youll be doing

  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure quality patient care effective flow of information and communication
  • Handle and protect confidential client and company information within and outside of the organization
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Process physicians orders for medications laboratory and diagnostic tests requests for medical records and other tasks
  • Assist with scheduling of physicians appointments and manage scheduling conflicts
  • Book client appointments with external service providers
  • Process requests for medical records test results and other documents
  • Assist with maintaining and ordering supplies
  • Input data and documents into clients electronic charts

What were looking for:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Unit Clerk diploma or certificate program
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • One years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience
  • Proven strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook

Homewood Health promotes a fair and competitive compensation model. Pay rates are tailored to reflect differences in operating environments and job requirements. Compensation is influenced by many factors including compensation principles or approach for a role or job function organizational tenure experience qualifications or premium skills external competitiveness internal comparability geography and work performance. Pay range for this position is $25.64/hour $28.80/hour.
