Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.

Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support our data center retrofit programs that modernize and improve our extensive data center fleet. At Amazon along with technical strength we expect our TPMs to interact with internal and external customers partners and suppliers to understand our joint business goals and priorities and to execute rapidly delivering highquality functionality. Amazons vision is to be the worlds most customercentric company and this role is key to that vision. These capital improvements to our data centers are essential for meeting our customers expectations for service and value and meeting Amazons goals for efficiency speed and reliability as we continue expanding our data centers to hyperscale.
This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with cloud infrastructure at huge scale and the exceptional people that design and implement solutions and operate the infrastructure for the cloud.

Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for engineering development finance integration and operation of these complex capital improvement programs. You prioritize your activities to support and understand the projects status solve problems and blockers and focus on the actions that are most impactful for program success. As an ideal candidate you:

Are a strong written and verbal communicator
Are great at solving problems and trying new approaches
Have strong judgement negotiation skills and ability to influence without authority.
Build relationships and trust with different stakeholders (e.g. Engineering Development Finance Operations)
Are comfortable addressing and resolving ambiguity
Recognize and appreciate diversity of thought and perspectives

Key job responsibilities
Develop and get buyin on plans and programs to improve our data centers and infrastructure
Generate highquality communications and reports that enable leadership to understand challenges and progress and that provide transparency to all stakeholders
Proactively identify risks/issues and remove blockers and barriers to successful completion of programs
Collaborate across organizations (Engineering Development Finance Operations) and be the linchpin for successful delivery of programs

3 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or equivalent

Experience with data center or building infrastructure program management.
