What You Will Be Doing:
Joining Army National Guard Facility Maintenance (ARNG) you will become a part of a ready valuable team of professionals who are trained to meet the needs of our state and its citizens. This role plays an integral part of our team to ensure the direct digital controls (DDC) security and fire alarms are maintained for various National Guard facilities. You will also be assisting with the review of construction electrical specifications and blueprints working with contractors to inspect and plan electrical upgrades.

Who We Are Looking For:
In addition to the minimum qualifications the ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:- Electrical: Knowledge of electrical equipment components instruments and systems including their design installation testing uses repair or maintenance.
- Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoots diagnoses analyzes and identifies system malfunctions to determine the source and cause of the problem.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs installation uses repair and maintenance.
- Project Management: Knowledge of the principles methods or tools for developing scheduling coordinating and managing projects and resources including monitoring and inspecting costs work and contractor performance.

The background check may include fingerprinting. Also you must be able to maintain the clearance throughout your employment. If using a private vehicle this will require a valid Alaska Driver License proof of vehicle insurance and a valid State of Alaska vehicle registration.State employees are guests on Joint Base ElmendorfRichardson; clearance and access is not within the States control.
Special Note:In addition in some cases employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). As part of the examination process a background check investigation including a criminal records check will be conducted. Conviction of a crime will not automatically preclude appointment. - Possess and maintain a valid Drivers License.
- First Aid/CPR card within one year of hire. Employer provided training.
- Level I Procurement. Employer provide training must be completed within 120 days of hire.

- Last three 3 performance evaluations or three 3 professional letters of recommendation if evaluations are not available.

- Valid Drivers license.
- Valid State of Alaska Certificate of Fitness Electrician Journeyman Card
