At Montefiore we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver an optimum level of quality care by working together with the clinical staff to service residents on a holistic level.
As an Exercise Physiologist you will be responsible for:
- Program design and reviewing of resident programs in consultation with our Physiotherapists
- Conducting small group exercise classes in the neighbourhoods
- Driving our HUR program
- Supporting and reviewing our current delivery of service to our Help at Home clients to optimise client outcomes on and off campus
- Utilise your background working within allied health and rehabilitation to both contribute and support the lead allied health professionals within your department
Essential Criteria:
- Current Accreditation with ESSA as an approved Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- Business acumen to review our current EP program delivery
- Experience working within Aged Care or an acute hospital setting within a multidisciplinary team
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in leading exercise classes
- Ability to work in both a fastpaced environment while maintaining credible documentation skills relevant to an Aged Care care planning setting
- Welldeveloped interpersonal skills and the ability to form a strong rapport and relationship with residents and staff
- Display a high level of initiative and take pride in promoting mobility with your consumers
- Intermediate computer skills proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable Criteria:
- Involvement in the development of clinical projects
- Experience of assessment of clinical outcome measurement
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Hydrotherapy experience
- Exercise prescription skills
- Working knowledge of manual handling and Work Health & Safety
