Other Conditions:
For placement in the lecturer applicant pool for the Spring and Fall semesters 2023. Positions are parttime temporary nontenure and contingent upon course offerings sufficient student enrollment position clearance and availability of funds. May be for day evening or weekend offerings on and offcampus (e.g. clinical settings).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct lectures and training in the Bachelor of Science in the Nursing (BSN) program and/or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programto include clinical practicums.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in nursing from anaccreditedinstitution.
- Must meet the requirements to apply for Hawaii RN licensure
- Must meet health requirements to work in a hospital clinical setting (vaccinations titers etc)
- Acute care experience
- To be eligible to teach in the DNP program one must hold a minimum of a doctoral degree in a nursing related field (if there are no applicants meeting this MQ those not meeting the MQ may be considered on an exception basis.
Desirable Qualifications:- Acute care experience in medical/surgical or Emergency Room departments.
- Extensive experience with acute care adult health clinical instruction in BSN nursingand/or DNP program(s).
- Masters of Science in Nursing for teaching in the BSN program.
