Job Summary

The Payroll Coordinator performs duties associated with processing payroll information: analyzes audits and corrects payroll information and provides customer service to employees and supervisors in the areas of payroll taxes etc.; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Reconcile payroll transactions pre and postpayroll to ensure data integrity in accordance with internal operational controls and Federal State local regulations.
Calculate prepare and verify each payroll calculate and prepare manual payments for exceptions final pay payroll adjustments back pay offcycles etc.
Prepare analyze and balance payroll reports for each payroll
Prepare and/or review of regular internal reporting and adhoc reports upon requests
Administer and manage garnishment vendors inclusive of garnishment payouts
Assist with the reconciliation of payroll funding to treasury and assist in the implementation of wage benefits third party billing and payroll tax funding
Assist with the submission of vendor fees and the monthly accrual of payrollrelated vendor expenses
Implement internal controls where needed and follow all internal audit and SOX guidelines
Assist in the research analysis and implementation of new payroll products and services in response to client needs and/or regulatory requirements
Troubleshoot payroll and benefits issues for clients and respond in a timely fashion
Monitor Payroll email box and action items as required.
Act as a liaison between employees department personnel and payroll on matters related to pay.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
High School Diploma plus 3 years of payroll or related financial analyst experience
Experience with SAP/Employee Central
Proficient in Word and Excel applications
Knowledge and experience in payroll profession tax compliance union contracts and benefit plans
Experience with processing of child support and garnishments
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Selfdirected selfmotivated possess a high level of energy and sense of urgency
Strong analytical skills; must be detail oriented and possess a high level of accuracy
Work independently of supervision; ability to independently prioritize workload
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Desired:
Certified Payroll Professional.
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
Experience in SAP HR/Payroll systems.
Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley.
