The Senior Packaging Engineer will work at a stateoftheart Innovation and Manufacturing facility in WinstonSalem NC. This role focuses on designing and optimizing product packaging to ensure integrity appeal and efficiency under various distribution and production conditions. Responsibilities include testing analyzing and selecting materials based on durability costeffectiveness and compatibility with production lines. This position requires handson experience with packaging concepts design and development as well as creativity and problemsolving to drive efficiency and innovation.
Support global rebranding and packaging modernization initiatives by designing testing validating and launching new packaging designs and brand imagery.
Act as the packaging subject matter expert (SME) for New Product Development and Speed to Market projects ensuring all packaging tasks align with launch schedules.
Provide technical support to Marketing Manufacturing Sourcing R&D and Quality teams to optimize packaging solutions.
Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Packaging Component Suppliers and Contract Manufacturers to qualify and launch packaging changes.
Lead packaging development and improvement projects to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
Develop project plans and manage resources to ensure deliverables align with timelines quality and budget expectations.
Identify and implement new packaging technologies and industry innovations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet corporate and regulatory expectations.
Conduct failure investigations and root cause analyses for packagingrelated issues.
Develop validation protocols and conduct testing for new and revised packaging.
Perform technical feasibility assessments on packaging designs including sustainability impact supply chain considerations and cost analysis.
Participate in crossfunctional teams for continuous improvement and new product introduction projects.
Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices.

Working knowledge of ASTM ISO FDA CAPA and validation/audit procedures.
Experience in packaging engineering design with structured problemsolving and statistical tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across all levels.
Selfmotivated with creativity initiative and the ability to work independently.
Agile and adaptable to manage and lead projects in a fastpaced evolving environment.
57 years of experience in Packaging Engineering for regulated products.
Background in Lean Six Sigma TPM OEE and other Lean Manufacturing tools preferred.
Experience in Food Dietary Supplements or Pharmaceuticals within a cGMPcompliant regulatory environment.
Familiarity with compendial packaging test methods (e.g. ASTM) and packagingrelated measurement/testing equipment.
Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering Packaging Science Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
CAD experience is a plus.
Must be able to see hear speak and write clearly for effective communication.
Moderate physical activity including standing walking bending and frequent lifting.
