Job Description
We are seeking an Authorization Specialist who can manage the authorization process for our patients. This is a fulltime permanent position with an established Home Health Therapy firm.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Insurance Authorizations to include Medicaid and private insurers
- Understanding of medial terminology related to Home Health
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to use computer systems such as Microsoft Office
- Good typing abilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process patient intake information
- Manage patient authorizations as determined by managed care providers (Medicaid) or private health insurance
- Prepare and submit insurance claim forms properly
- Ensure medical service documentation are accurate and timely
- Verify patient information
- Other office duties as needed.
