The Franklin Township School District is committed to offering instruction in World Languagesto all students. At the core ofour department is a belief in consistent meaningful study of a second language that fosters respect for cultural and linguistic diversity.

The department seeks innovative candidates with strong interpersonal skills in order to collaborate on developing relevant and purposeful curriculum. Our goal is to prepare students for life beyond high school by promoting interaction with people of other cultures by making connections to other disciplines and by using authentic materials and tasks to prepare learners for authentic language experiences.

Instructional Responsibilities

  • To plan organize and implement an appropriate instructional program that guides and encourages students to develop proficiency and fulfill their academic potential.
  • To integrate technology to develop students media and digital literacies.
  • To differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learner styles and abilities.
  • To collaborate meaningfully with colleagues for the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
