This position encompasses working with experienced team members Interventional Cardiologists Electrophysiologists and Vascular Surgeons in a hospital setting. Great opportunities of advanced learning crosstraining and guaranteed hours offered.

Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute (CMHVI) brings skilled medical specialists and innovative treatments to the people of central Maine and beyond including rural areas whose residents previously had limited access to high quality care. We provide a wide array of services ranging from conservative medical care and rehabilitation to surgery for common and sometimes complex heart and vascular conditions. We also focus heavily on educating our community and preventing disease before it develops.

Essential Duties:

• Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.

• Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

• Provides direct and indirect supervision of Radiologic Technology students. Participates in CQI activities.

• Participates in on call weekend and holiday schedules. Assists physicians during procedures.

• Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for each procedure appropriately.

• Interacts professionally with patient and family.

• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock burns and extraneous radiation to patients.

Education and Experience:

• Graduated from Cardiovascular Technology program.

• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

• ACLS within 6 months of hire.

• Obtains Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within 2 years of hire.
