Our team is looking for a Buyer to support scaling of innovative automation solutions that will transform the last mile delivery space. The role is responsible for the placement management and delivery of purchase orders to ensure material availability for production and engineering schedules. Other responsibilities for the Buyer include working with suppliers to ensure we are manufacturing the latest material/product level revisions interacting/coordinating with suppliers on a variety of topics ensuring compliance and supporting other business functions as required. The successful candidate will have bias for action and will be driven to meet all service level goals related to technical quality and delivery requirements. This role will work with multiple business functions in a team environment.
Key job responsibilities * Ensure and promote compliance to Company and Procurement policies and procedures. * Collaborate across category teams placing purchase orders (PO) and onboarding new suppliers. * Ensuring POs are updated on time to support schedule and/or inventory changes * Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies returns and quality problems with suppliers. * Create and update processes to improve supplier performance and PO health * Provide backup support for supply chain functions * Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service including recommending solutions resources and alternative supply options.
Bachelors degree or equivalent in supply chain business finance or related work experience 2 years of project management or supply chain experience 2 years experience with MS Excel based tools; familiarity with Excel spreadsheets pivot tables Vlookup and ability to navigate and interpret data Knowledge of SQL Experience in data gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
Data management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data. Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement. A selfstarter who has worked with large dataset who has the ability to spot trends in the data.
