The Communications Technology Services organization seeks a highly motivated Senior Infra Technical Business Developer (Tech BD) to support various Amazon business units in their telecommunication infrastructure connectivity needs focusing on AMERbased customers. Operating as part of the Strategic IP Services (SIPS) Team responsibilities include designing and optimizing IPbased network connectivity with operational excellence at the forefront negotiating service contracts that cost structure deals to grow the top and bottom line and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have both business and technical telecommunications expertise able to interact at executive (CXO/VP) levels as well as Data Center and Network Engineering technical teams. Due to the dynamic nature of business the successful candidate will be flexible and responsive to an everchanging environment. Further the candidate should excel in strategic thinking negotiation and communication with demonstrated ability to negotiate multimilliondollar regional infrastructure contracts from both a business and technical perspective.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the SIPS team in helping to drive overall network optimization and cost reduction for our internal customers.
Design connectivity solutions (DIA EPL Wave Dark Fiber DX) and negotiate key service contracts with new and existing vendors across the globe.
Perform financial analysis on business deals.
Direct fiber diversity and network topology planning for our stakeholders networks.
Facilitate initiatives and work closely with teams across Amazon including network deployment global expansion services product management data center operations supply chain procurement and capacity management.
Work with peers to ensure that their acquisitions contemplate current and future business needs.
Anticipate bottlenecks manage risk and escalations identify defects and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
A day in the life
Intake Network Infrastructure program requirements from our customers and work collaboratively with internal teams to plan design and execute solutions to hit our operational targets for Programs.
Partner closely with ISP to drive cost optimization.
Track and report updates on key program initiatives.
Operate strategically and forward thinking to anticipate customer needs and translate their use cases to define innovative ways to scale as we grow.
Collaborate across teams organizations and time zones with a customer centric approach in a fastpaced environment to meet the demands of the business.

Bachelors degree or 810 years Telecommunications Experience.
Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
8 Years working with transport IP and telephony technologies with deep understanding and the ability to demonstrate significant acumen and technical knowledge specific to telecommunications for the following products (Fiber MPLS EPL EVPL DIA).
8 Years providing consultative services to customers including needs assessment solution design and implementation.
5 years of developing negotiating and executing business agreements experience.
5 years of responding to requests for proposals (e.g. determining requirements matching requirements to technical approach and solutions developing solutions against requirements) experience.
Understanding of optical and DWDM systems with a strong understanding of layer 1 through 3.
Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to effectively work with diverse customers and audiences across multiple disciplines.
Willing to travel up to 30.
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
Experience identifying negotiating and executing complex legal agreements.
Bachelors degree in business economics engineering analytics mathematics statistics information technology or equivalent.
Ability to prioritize multiple competing demands to deliver for the customers in a specific time window.
Ability to create complex financial models to understand business impacts of various network solutions is required.
Ability to anticipate customer requirements and build strategic plans that are operationally viable.
Experience working in an IP network planning or implementation role at an ISP telecoms operator or CDN.
Background in high availability backbone design and architecture.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification.
