The Department of Information Systems and Analytics at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a fulltime professor of practice faculty position in Cybersecurity. The start date for the position is August 1 2025.
The successful candidate will have adistinguished career in cybersecurity who is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. This nontenuretrack position emphasizes teaching curriculum development and industry engagement allowing the successful candidate to bring realworld expertise to an academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
A masters degree in information systems cybersecurity information security or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
Five 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity with demonstrated expertise in areas such as network security ethical hacking/pen testing incident response or cyber defense is required.
A CISSP CISA CISM or a comparable certification is required.
Applicants with a terminal degree will receive special consideration.
