The University of Chicagos Department of Radiology is searching for a fulltime faculty member at the Assistant Professor rank. The appointee will have responsibilities in the Nuclear Medicine Section and be fully competent in the whole spectrum of nuclear studies including general nuclear medicine nuclear cardiology radionuclide therapy and hybrid molecular imaging (e.g. PET/CT and SPECT/CT). Appointment as Instructor is possible for those who can achieve these competencies within one year. Participation in a variety of multidisciplinary conferences is expected. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students and scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.
The Faculty member will have dedicated academic time with many opportunities available to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong basic science group as well as other clinical and basic science departments throughout the campus. Prior to the start of employment qualified applicants must: 1 have a medical doctorate or equivalent 2 hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana and 3 be Board certified or eligible in Radiology and/or Nuclear Medicine.
