Position Description:
We are looking for a selfstarting motivated person who excels at building relationships enjoys sales and marketing and provides excellent customer service. If you have skills in marketing management budgeting event planning sales fundraising and customer service and are comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences you should consider taking the opportunity to become a professional Scouter. A selfmotivated individual with solid timemanagement skills and strong organizational skills will be successful in this role.
District Executives are a diverse group sharing a dynamic career offering independence achievement and stability. The District Executive is the manager of a designated territory (called a district) consisting of multiple counties or population centers within the Greater St. Louis Area Councils 63 counties. We are looking for someone to take ownership of growing the district in the key areas of finance membership and volunteer development.
Overview:
$44000 base salary with a total compensation of up to $51980
Please note that a Scouting background is NOT required for the position and covers Alton Illinois and surrounding area.

Salary & Compensation Package: $51980 per year
- Base Salary $44000
- Cell Phone Reimbursement: $480
- Annual Average of Executive Mileage Reimbursement: $4500
- Annual Bonuses up to $3000
Starting Pay and Benefits:

Training:
Comprehensive professional training opportunities are provided during the first three years of tenure. Annual training and development opportunities continue throughout the career.
Requirements:
- Must be willing to accept and meet the Boy Scout of Americas leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license
- Attained 21 years of age or older unless prohibited by any applicable law
- The ability to work varied hours when necessary evening activities and weekend work is frequently required to achieve positive objectives
- Must currently live or be willing to relocate to the boundaries of the service area
- Ability to travel for training at least once a year for one to two weeks
- Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly
- A Scouting background is helpful but not required for employment
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Peopleoriented having the ability to work well with adult volunteers community and business leaders and representatives of other organizations
- Nonprofit fundraising sales or marketing experience is a plus
