Job Description
Odessa Coop has an exciting opportunity and invites applications for the position of General Manager (GM) located in the community of Odessa SK.

Reporting to the Board of Directors the GM will have operational responsibility for the Coop. Odessa Coop has a growing bulk fuel service a variety of hardware and animal feed products a convenience fuel station a Canada Post outlet and tire and lubricant services. The individual will seek out opportunities for self development and demonstrate resiliency by using past successes and failures when tackling new challenges. The broad responsibilities of this role are but not limited to the following:
- Strategy Working closely with the Board to interpret our vision and managing the Cooperatives strategy by directing all aspects of the business.
- Financial Stewardship Leading the development of the Coops operating and capital budgets and ensuring efficient operation and adherence to the budget.
- Operations Responsible for overall administration coordination and control of the retail and ensuring daily success with a handson approach. Understands the importance of optimizing processes to drive results.
- Leadership Provide leadership and maintain a positive work environment that promotes the engagement and development of team members to support the achievement of desired results.
- Relationships Using excellent communication skills builds and enhances relationships with members customers team members. Acts as a liaison between the community and the retail.

Who you are:
You are a proven leader in business operations and:
- Have over 2 years relevant management experience with at least 6 months leading people within the retail industry. Previous Coop experience is considered an asset. (A combination of education and experience may be considered).
- Have strong business sense and is organizational savvy and an ability to plan and align resources.
- Have a demonstrated ability to ensure accountability manage conflict and balance stakeholders.
- Are selfmotivated quick learner and requires minimal supervision.
- Have a demonstrated ability in developing creative and innovative marketing strategies that identify and promote opportunities for retail growth.
- Have a reputation for being honest and trustworthy resultsoriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- Have a belief in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most.
