About the role:
This role gives you the chance to work in community mental health clinical practice while also providing some consultation and inreach support to the local mental health inpatient unit.
Most of your time will be spent in the community working alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes social workers psychologists nurses and medical staff. Youll collaborate with GPs and community organizations to provide care and support to both individuals and groups. In this role youll carry out mental health functional and psychosocial assessments and help coordinate care through inperson appointments home visits and community visits.
Youll also support the Clark Centre a shortstay eightbed unit in Armidale by providing disciplinespecific consultation to the team. This will allow you to use your skills to conduct functional assessments develop and run therapeutic activities/groups and assist with discharge planning.
About you:
Youre an Occupational Therapist passionate about improving the function and recovery of clients using your unique OT skills. Whether youre a new grad or early in your career with an interest (or experience) in Mental Health if youre looking for a supportive team to help you grow join us! - Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
