We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Systems Engineer supporting one of our premier programs in the business unit. This role will expand your knowledge and experience with regards to clarification of requirements system engineering analyses algorithm development requirements definition and derivation interface definition and requirement validation and verification.
This position is an onsite role in Richardson TX: You Will Do
Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases
Decompose requirements define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
Provide engineering support for the of a portion of the programs test program including test processes and baseline definition test architecture design verification and validation
Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline.
Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development requirements management functional analysis/synthesis interface definition and control and/or verification and validation
Experience in Satellite Command/Control Mission Management or Planning
Experience with Agile and/or DevSecOps development methods
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle roles and functions
Development experience on a government contract
Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word Excel and PowerPoint)
(telemetry)
Experience with Agile tool sets (JIRA Confluence BitBucket etc.
Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases
Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment
Scripting knowledge (eg: Python)
