We are seeking a talented and motivated Production Supervisor to lead production operations in Kuiper Deck and Panel Integration.
Key job responsibilities
Hire develop and supervise leads and a large group of highly skilled technicians focused on Kuiper satellite production and scaling output across multiple facilities. Includes annual reviews career development and managing corrective and disciplinary actions.
Coordinate with other Kuiper leaders and manufacturing engineers to plan and coordinate daily tasks for technicians and activities of all operations with an ability to adapt to changing schedules and other dynamic priorities.
Establish onthejob training programs and standardized opportunities for team members to learn new skills and progress in their career.
Lead a team to perform integration and test of various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment.
Inspect and verify your teams work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met.
Collaborate with manufacturing design operations and test engineers to develop document and complete activities including continuous improvement opportunities
Provide frequent feedback and technical reviews on processes tools and equipment used in production environments.
Improve and enforce area safety and reporting mechanisms through regular auditing and safetyrelated projects.

A day in the life
The Production Supervisor will work closely with crossfunctional engineering test enterprise quality and operations teams on production hardware integration processes and systems. This is a critical role leading the integration technician team for decks and panels.
This position requires a high degree of skill in many areas including technical leadership technician development mechanical assembly avionics integration and troubleshooting. In short you will be responsible for overseeing a majority of the most critical tasks to build the Kuiper satellite decks and panels ensuring high quality workmanship and safety standards are adhered to. You will also help lead team organization team building and hiring for essential roles across your team.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
2 years of professional experience leading a team
5 years of handson experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly test and/or installation
Must be able to work 1st shift hours between 6am and 430pm Wednesday through Saturday
Experience hiring training and leading production teams.
Experience implementing lean/six sigma principles in a production environment.
Experience helping develop enterprise manufacturing systems and assembly lines.
Experience in the aerospace industry automotive industry medical device industry aviation military or other highreliability operating environment.
Experience in an ambiguous fastpaced production environment.
Experience working with FOD ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements.
Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity.
A demonstrated ability in reading/writing/creating/understanding technical drawings work instructions test plans and standard operating procedures
Detailed knowledge of electrical optical and mechanical systems antennas functional testing and satellite components
Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a highpaced challenging work environment

Willing to work overtime as needed
Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations
Able to climb up and down ladders work in tight spaces bending grasping sitting pulling pushing stooping and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $75500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $124600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
