Job Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.

AWS Hardware Engineering is looking for a senior leader to deliver development implementation and reliability for our core hardware components offerings in AWS. In this role you will lead your team to deliver novel hardware designs from inception through manufacturing implementation maturation and eventually deprecation. You will be responsible for planning ahead to avoid hardware defects and driving any problems to zero. You will organization a team of skilled hardware and software engineers and managers to partner with our silicon suppliers ODMs and internal customers. In this role you will define implementation strategy and report status frequently to senior leadership. Your work will directly enable AWS to launch our next generation server designs.

Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Software Engineering or equivalent.
Experience managing multidiscipline hardware and software development teams.
Experience managing people managers
Technical experience in compute and/or storage systems design deployment and production operations.
Technical experience working with silicon suppliers
Handson experience in designing developing and operationally supporting high volume enterprise servers.
Handson experience with systemlevel analysis.
Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
Proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions recommendations and drive actions.
Masters degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10 years of experience leading multidiscipline hardware development teams.
Technical experience in compute and/or storage systems design deployment and production operations.
Experience in working with CM/OEM/ODM vendors for design development and manufacturing.
Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure constraints including networking power space and cooling.
Proven success using written communications to influence product strategy.
Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
Proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions recommendations and drive actions.
High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
