Reporting to the Customer Service Manager this is clerical and administrative work of moderate complexity responsible for providing administrative support to the Engineering team and department committees. An incumbent of this class is responsible for the provision of customer service relief document management the preparation and processing of mass mail outs and of presentations to committee with direction and guidance from a manager. In addition the incumbent will perform a wide variety of clerical duties including: typing various forms of correspondence and reports; scheduling meetings appointments and public events; and providing clerical support to Engineering committees.
The incumbent in this class exercises considerable independence of judgment and action in performing assigned duties based on established practice and procedures while complex or unusual matters are referred to one of the engineering managers.
The Training Manual Requirements prequalifications for this position are:
Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by courses in office procedures software and equipment stenography typing and other standard commercial subjects
Successful completion of a business communications or report writing course 36 hours).
Typing Skills minimum 65 wpm
Intermediate in Microsoft Office Suite of products including Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook
A minimum of three 3 years previous experience in a support role in an engineering setting
