As a Software Development Engineer you will help solve a variety of technical challenges and mentor other engineers. You will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with other technology leaders within the team. You will help invent new features design develop and deploy reliable distributed services. You will work with a variety of core languages and technologies including GoLang and Python technologies.
You will tackle challenging situations every day and youll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity thats higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems. Along the way we guarantee that youll learn a ton have fun and make a positive impact on many customers.

The Just Walk Out (JWO) Networking team is responsible for the hardware and software systems deployed to physical stores to support the seamless shopping experience that is Just Walk Out. These systems include OS development device provisioning application deployment logging and metrics device command orchestration and configurationdata management. All of these components work together to enable seamless installation and and ongoing management of our many JWO networks deployed around the world.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
