Raytheon Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Tucson AZ. Our mission is to provide world class Security Software to be used in deployed missile systems. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design code and integrate capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern computing languages and platforms.
This position requires understanding of realtime software design and the performance implications associated with specific System Security implementations. The candidate will require the ability to understand how their efforts affect the big picture of the missile system and be able to develop or review detail solutions at the source code level.
This position is a fulltime onsite role in Tucson AZ.
What You Will Do:
As a System Security software engineer the candidate will be involved with software and firmware design development integration and testing of realtime missile software.
Apply System Security principles to the design and implementation of hardened Radar software applications.
Developing software applications using C and C languages on a variety of computing platforms
Understand realtime software design and the performance implications associated with specific System Security implementations.
Work closely with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements.
Interfacing with a common development to support development to facilitate programs ability to leverage specific capabilities.
Interfacing with customer community to review technical design and support verification of system maturity.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics and a minimum of 5 years experience
Experience with C / C
Experience with Xilinx Zynq MPSoCs UltraScale or similar Embedded Processors
VxWorks OS experience or similar RTOS
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with qualification and verification of software applications
Experience with any of the following:
Linux/Unix environment
Interfacing with FPGAs
Interfacing with lowlevel memory drivers
Interprocessor communication
ARM Architecture
Secure boot concepts
Experience designing implementing testing or fielding realtime securityoriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs (embedded experience highly preferred)
Experience using securityrelevant tools and devices for security auditing network security host/server security communication security or policy management.
Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments
Experience in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and development environments
Experience using software configuration management and bug tracking tools
Experience with Python / Perl
Knowledge of modern computer architectures and hardware technologies including:
PCIe GPIO I2C SATA
Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
ApplicationSpecific Integrated Circuits (ASICs)

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
