Location: Renton Washington/Remote (Daybreak Approved Remote Locations (CA WA TX NY)
Salary Range: $65000 $110000 pay may vary on location.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Software Development Engineer MTGO Client is responsible for for helping create the technology for Magic: The Gathering Online primarily in the client space in the Engineering Department at Washington reporting to the Lead Software Engineer this position will be responsible for:
- Designs and implements solutions for Magic: The Gathering Online in alignment with architectural designs and program needs including tooling messaging layers and UI
- Performs literate programming using adequate commenting and documentation tools to deliver readable and maintainable code
- Adopts industry standard and teamspecific coding practices
- Collaborates and maintains relationships across disciplines (Production Game Design GRE Art etc.
- Communicates tradeoffs risks and alternate solutions for proposed features and functionality
- Provides reasonable estimates of time and materials required to complete vision and scope goals outlined by the Development Manager
- Contributes to continuous improvement through code reviews collaboration on technical designs documentation and test coverage
- Gathers metrics and makes performance improvements
Other Criteria
Years of Experience Education and/or Certification
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 35 years of experience creating and shipping software
- 35 years working with C#
- 23 years working with WPF/XAML
Additionally you should possess
- Experience working with and improving large legacy systems
- Experience with Windows and Microsoft systems Linux experience is a bonus
- Experience using graphic design programs especially Photoshop is a bonus
- Ability to quickly learn and master new skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people in various roles
- Support the live product and resolve issues as they arise in production environments
- Strong remote communication skills
- Comfort working in a fully remote environment with potential for an office environment in the future
- Able to work on computer or phone for long periods of time
