Job Description
Landus Cooperative is currently seeking an individual that will safely haul grain fertilizer and associated materials and equipment between locations while maintaining a clean & efficient running truck and trailer. Local runs allow for home every night very few exceptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Proper communications with truck dispatcher shop personnel and regional transportation supervisor.
- Haul grain dry & liquid fertilizer to and from farms and between company locations.
- Liquid & dry fertilizer tending to applicators.
- Efficient operation of semi tractor and trailer.
- Operate semi truck/trailer in a safe and professional manner.
- Knowledge of vehicle equipment.
- Follow all Landus Cooperative safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all State and federal driving laws.
- Follow all applicable state DOT rules and regulations.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections.
- Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program.
- Maintain clean truck/trailer.
- Monitor vehicles for regular maintenance/service needs.
- Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance when needed on the road or in the shop.
- Complete daily truck log sheets properly.
- Assist all departments with operational duties as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
- Class A CDL with required endorsements or able to obtain one and maintain current DOT physical.
- This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job.
- The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in our motor vehicle safety policy.

- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

- The employee must occasionally push pull or lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
