The Software Engineering Manager will be a servant leader and coach guiding and supporting agile development teams to deliver highquality software solutions in a collaborative fastpaced environment. You are passionate about technology and possess a strong understanding of Agile methodologies DevOps principles and Cloud technologies. You are as comfortable leading teams as you are diving into the technical details and contributing to the handson work when needed.
What youll do
Lead and mentor agile development teams fostering a culture of collaboration continuous improvement and high performance.
Ensure the team adheres to agile principles and practices.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners to define project scope create user stories and prioritize the backlog.
Identify and manage project risks dependencies and impediments to ensure ontime and onbudget delivery.
Champion DevOps practices and drive the adoption of automation tools and processes for continuous integration continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.
Work closely with architects and engineers to design and implement scalable and reliable cloudbased solutions consistent with Progynys overall technical standards
Monitor team performance identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Be a handson contributor when needed assisting with technical tasks troubleshooting issues and providing guidance to the team.
Leverage critical thinking and systems thinking to ensure teams are solving the right problems and they are solving them the right way
Foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.
About you
8 years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager or similar role leading agile development teams.
Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban).
Deep understanding of DevOps principles and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS Azure GCP) and experience with cloudbased development and deployment.
Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
Experience with Jira Confluence and other agile project management tools.
Experience with Python AWS Salesforce preferred.
Experience in Healthcare domain and associated compliance mandates (HIPAA HITRUST) is a plus

In compliance with New York Citys Wage Transparency Law the annual salary wage range for NYCbased applicants is: $190000 $200000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range including but not limited to external market benchmark data geographic location and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary cash bonus and equity.
