Neuro-Oncologist

The Mayo Clinic in Rochester is searching for a highly motivated academic neurooncologist to join our practice in Rochester Minnesota. The CNS Brain Tumor clinic is a highvolume practice consisting of multiple disciplines that include Neurosurgery Radiation Oncology Neuropathology and a robust research program. Primary appointment will be in the Department of Neurology (Division of NeuroOncology) with a joint appointment in Medical Oncology. Mayo Clinic is a Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center by NCI including participation in NCI cooperative group studies. Ample opportunities for clinical and translational research are available through highly collaborative basic and translational science departments and this will be enhanced further with the planned acquisition of both proton beam and heavy particle beam facilities in the next several years.

The successful applicant will contribute to the clinical care of brain tumor and cancer neurology patients to the teaching of students residents and fellows and to the development of clinical trials in neurooncology including studies based on translational research within the Mayo Clinic enterprise.

ABPN Board certified or board eligible in Neurology and qualified for a Minnesota Medical license. UCNS board eligibility in NeuroOncology is strongly encouraged.
