Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detailorientedLegal Adviserto provide expert legal solutions to complex business challenges within the iGaming and Sports Betting industry. This role is crucial for mitigating legal risks ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting strategic initiatives in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
Your keyjobresponsibilities as theLegal Advisor (iGaming & Sports Betting)inJohannesburgwill include:
- Provide sound legal advice on business processes ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to the iGaming and Sports Betting sectors.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and offer clear actionable legal direction.
- Draft vet review disseminate and negotiate legal documents including Service Level Agreements and other contracts.
- Cultivate strong objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Deliver exceptional legal support through proactive innovative and effective solutions.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practices providing proactive legal advice.
- Research and provide legal opinions on diverse issues and new business projects to identify assess and manage legal risks.
- Advise on matters related to the Protection of Personal Information Act focusing on record management record keeping and data processes.
- Monitor and ensure consistency in legal documentation across the business identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Requirements
Requirements for thisLegal Advisor (iGaming & Sports BettingjobinJohannesburg:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
- Admission to practice as a legal practitioner.
- 24 years of experience as a legal adviser.
- Strong knowledge of the Protection of Personal Information Act and related data management practices.
- Excellent drafting negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment particularly within the iGaming and Sports Betting industries.
