Job Description
As a Cable Technician I you will:
- Install maintain and repair fiber optic and CAT6 cabling systems to ensure robust network performance.
- Utilize network cabling test equipment to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues efficiently.
- Adhere to BICSI standards and safety regulations in all cabling activities.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support network upgrades troubleshooting and infrastructure maintenance.
- Organize label and document cabling infrastructure to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and respond to trouble calls providing timely and effective solutions to maintain uninterrupted network services.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education technical training or work experience.
- 3 years of related telecommunications experience
- 3 years of experience working as a Cable Technician within the DoD environment
- Related certifications for Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable installation.
