Position title: Head Site Grower
Reporting to: Director of Horticulture
Job Purpose
The Head Site Grower will oversee all aspects of plant cultivation under the direction guidance and leadership of the Director of Horticulture. You are responsible for ensuring the health quality and productivity of various plant species grown in our facility. This role requires a deep understanding of horticulture plant biology and cultivation techniques.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manage the cultivation of various plant species from propagation to harvest. Monitor plant health growth and development throughout the growth cycle.
- Work with the Director of Horticulture to design and implement optimal growing conditions including temperature humidity light and nutrient levels to maximize plant growth and yield.
- Lead and supervise a team of Section Growers provide training guidance and support to ensure all team members are competent in their roles.
- Oversee all the nutrient programs and irrigation systems on site
- Develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to prevent and control pests and diseases. Monitor for signs of infestation and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure all crop related tasks are completed on time and correctly
- Maintain and track all crop timelines of crops to meet sales target
- Monitor all Climate control systems in all areas to optimize growing environment.
- Collaborate with planning team to give feedback regarding crop timing and genetics
- Engage with other industry professionals to learn help and evolve our best growing strategies for the future

Desired Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Bachelors or advanced degree in horticulture plant science agronomy or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in modern glass greenhouse with demonstrated expertise in crop management plant biology propagation and cultivation techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve shared goals
- Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
- Proficient understanding of climate systems
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards governing greenhouse operations including Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as greenhouse management systems and data analysis tools
- Detailoriented and data drive with strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
