Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare servicesto theMissouri Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a perdiemLevel 1 Medication Aide to join our team at Potosi Correctional Center located inMineral Point Missouri.
The Level 1 Medication Aide Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.
Available Shift: Per Diem (PRN)could be any shift: Day 6:30 am3pm Eve 2:30 pm11pm Night 10:30 pm7am
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Current/active Level 1 Medical Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide () required
Insulin certification required
Required completion of continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four 4 hours of medication administration training every two 2 years); required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File
One 1 year of experience in acute care emergency or correctional setting preferred
Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
Must be appropriately and actively certified in CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
