Job Description

Job Summary:
Schamburg Immediate Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in Schaumburg Illinois on a full time basis. This position will report to the Director of Medical Services and will be primarily responsible for assisting in the delivery of quality healthcare services to our clients. As a Medical Assistant at Schaumburg Immediate Care you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients by providing support and care.

Compensation & Benefits:
The Medical Assistant position at Schaumburg Immediate Care offer competitive salary and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the delivery of healthcare services to patients in a primary care and immediate care setting
Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure pulse and temperature
Administer medication as directed by the physician
Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
Perform basic lab tests such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
Monitor patients for changes in health status and report any concerns to the physician or Director of Medical Services
Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records
Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication administration and other healthcare instructions
Adhere to all policies procedures and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification from an accredited institution is preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is preferred
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
