Job Description
Hire Resolve a leading recruitment agency is representing their client in search of a Professional Civil Engineer Technologist.
The successful candidate will play a key role in road and water infrastructure projects with the flexibility to work from either Durban or Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage road and water infrastructure projects from start to finish ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and quality standards.
- Develop detailed engineering designs drawings and specifications using industrystandard software.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle including feasibility studies site investigations and construction supervision.
- Collaborate with clients government agencies contractors and stakeholders to meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and inspections to verify compliance with design standards and specifications.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues associated with projects to ensure successful delivery.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technologists fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation reports and progress updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PR Eng) or Professional Technologist (PR Tech) with ECSA.
- Proven experience in civil engineering project management specifically in road and water infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Bentley MicroStation or similar design software.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant South African regulations codes and standards in civil engineering and construction.
