JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing planning organizing and implementing a therapy program to meet the needs of speech language and hearingimpaired students while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal state and local regulations.
EDUCATION TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) or related field
- Enrollment in a Masters degree program at an accredited institution in the field of SpeechLanguage Pathology or related field
- OR
- Acceptance into a Masters degree program at an accredited institution in the field of SpeechLanguage Pathology or related field within a year of hire
CERTIFICATES LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
- Valid and current Florida certification in field or hold appropriate state license for position
****Bachelor level and clinical fellowship year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply.***
***Mentoring and supervision for Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) available.***
FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION ONLY:
***This position may require you to teachan additional periodbeyondyour base contract. Should this occur you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated rate (currently $5500 for a fullyear) in addition to your base salary for instructing this additional period. This additional amount will be paid as a supplement and will be disbursed in equal payments based on the Districts established payroll calendar for this position. This amount is considered part of your salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.***
