Job Summary
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for coordinating on a daytoday basis the provision of high quality comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of Frye Regional Medical Center in accordance with established regulations and procedures. This includes drug distribution functions as well as clinical activities.

Frye Regional Medical Center located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355bed acute care hospital 81bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.
Essential Functions
- Interprets medication orders and transcribes to patient medication profiles accurately
- Monitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications duplications drugdrug interactions drugfood interactions allergies and appropriateness of drug dose and frequency
- Compounds and dispenses medications including sterile compounds chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products
- Reviews/interprets laboratory data for therapy appropriateness and recommends changes as needed
- Interacts with patients health care providers clinics and prescribers involved with the patient
- Documents all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely
- Participates in the quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department as necessary

Minimum Education
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Doctor of Pharmacy Preferred
- Antimicrobial Stewardship and BCPS Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid NC Pharmacy License
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Doctorate
