Job Description
DescriptionShawsheen Valley Technical High School is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Automotive Technology Instructor for theschool year. Qualified applicants must be licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE) as a Chapter 74 Automotive Technology 912 Teacher or meet the necessary requirements for licensure. In this role the qualified candidate would develop and deliver automotive lessons to high school students enrolled in grades 9 through 12. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in all phases of automotive technology with a particular emphasis on diagnosis and troubleshooting of automotive electrical electronic and computer systems. ASE Master Technician credential is preferred. Additional expertise in emerging automotive technologies including hybrid and electric vehicle systems is with a current Massachusetts DESE Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement are strongly preferred. Strong communication skills classroom management and the ability to create an engaging and handson learning environment are essential.
