Bank Decontamination Technician
We are now inviting applications for the post of Decontamination Technician. This is a Bank role and is based at Ramsay Sterile Services North West Preston.
We are looking for enthusiastic motivated individuals who have already worked within the field of Decontamination of reusable medical devices for at least 2 years or who have completed a recognised decontamination course (NVQ/TVQ/Technical Certificate).
The successful applicant must have:
Relevantexperience as a decontamination technician within a health care setting
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
Good computer skills (MS Office package)
Flexibility and adaptability
Demonstrated customer service skills
Willingness to work the occasional night shift once competence is achieved
Key responsibilities include:
Performing the full decontamination cycle on reusable medical devices (surgical instruments) to the highest of standards in line within all Ramsay policies and procedures
Participate fully in quality control processes ensuring procedures and documentation is completed accurately at all times

What is a Bank contract:
A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead you work on an adhoc basis filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability leaving you with a greater worklife balance. Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure alongside other contracted work. Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted

They have been open for the past 11 years and service 9 Ramsay hospitals in their regions.
