Senior Principal Cloud Systems Engineer

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

Criterion Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Cloud Systems Engineer for our Operations Infrastructure & Support Engineering Group that will focus on building and maintaining the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release deployment and upgrade processes for base cloud infrastructure.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Principal Cloud Systems Engineer: $130000 $206000. Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical Dental Vision 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Senior Principal Cloud Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Designing writing and delivering Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability scalability latency and efficiency of the cloud environment
• Developing jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that support a continuous security updated environment
• Participating in design and architecture discussions and build environments using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible
• Automating repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency repeatability
• Incident response and rootcause analysis support a blameless postmortems culture
• Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned

Senior Principal Cloud Systems Engineer Experience Education Skills Abilities requested:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability and willingness to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph
• Minimum of eight 8 years of relevant experience
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or Engineering
• Security Certification or the ability to get certification within 3 months of hiring
• Experience working in a Security culture
• Experience working with appropriate scripting languages and operating systems software (e.g. PowerShell Bash)
• Experience with Ansible Terraform or equivalent configuration management tools
• Should have flexibility in approach to finding solutions ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities and ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong team building skills that enable collaboration and coordination within and across teams and functions
• Ability to automate menial tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Azure AWS or similar Cloud Provider Experience
• Must pass preemployment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
