As a Wastewater Maintenance Technician Apprentice within our Wastewater business youll be at the heart of this purposeensuring the reliable delivery of 1100 million litres of clean drinking water every day. What Will You Do
As an Apprentice Wastewater Maintenance Technician your role will include:
Ensure Water Recycling sites operate correctly and reliably to treat water used by customers before safely returning it to the environment.
Play a vital role in keeping our assets running effectively and efficiently.
Conduct routine inspections and proactive maintenance to prevent issues.
Swiftly troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
Operate and testing cuttingedge equipment to optimize performance.
Maintain sewer networks to ensure everything flows seamlessly.
Focus on compliance with safety protocols and environmental standards.
Contribute directly to protecting communities and the environment.
What Are We Looking For
A passion for problemsolving and sustainability.
GCSEs (Grade AC or 94 in Math English and Science) or Level 2 Functional Skills. (please note that predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams)
A willingness to work outdoors and take on challenges
A growth mindset and a drive to explore learn and contribute to a greater purpose.

Your learning Journey
Your time will be split between classroom and onthejob learning. You will attend Grantham college on a block release schedule spending Monday to Thursday there for two weeks at a time which amounts to eight college days per month. The remaining time will be spent on the job learning applying your learning and gaining handson experience. Your learning journey will also be supported with a minimum of 6 hours per week of offthejob training. This course usually takes 4 years to complete. (Travel costs to/from college will be covered in line with our expenses reimbursement policy).
